Amateur Radio Volunteers : Provides a pool of trained amateur radio operators to support the local public service agencies, volunteer groups, and non-government organizations, with communications at events, exercises, and during disaster or post-event assistance operations.

This is the on-line resource center for
Amateur Radio Operators, Putnam County Florida Amateur Radio Volunteers:
ARES Organizations and unit Members.

We train and practice to sharpen our communications
skills in a practical and meaningful way, to be able
to help our local neighborhoods in being prepared in
the event of emergencies or disasters.

Putnam County is now using FLDIGI for Digital Communications
Members are encourage to setup and test Communications with FLDIGI / FLMSG.
Minimum equipment is required for this mode MT63-2000k with 2 meter FM.
That is what makes it so good, all that is needed is Radio & Computer with free software installed.
Works great with acoustic coupling, so no radio computer interface is needed.
